Welcome to Walk Kernow (Cornwall in Cornish) we look forward to welcoming you to your Nordic Walking Weekend in Cornwall and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Who's our host?Hello my name is Kelly INWA Nordic Walking Instructor and the owner of Walk Kernow I'd like to welcome you to my stomping ground that is Cornwall. I will be leading you down some of the beautiful paths that we have in this wonderful part of the country. From the gentle South Coast and it's creeks to the dramatic North Coast and it's rugged coast line.....I hope you enjoy your weekend.
Where will I be staying? You will be staying in the beautiful port of Falmouth with it's nautical connections, you'll experience a true working port and a town with some quirky little shops and great places to eat, from Rick Steins chippy, great seafood restaurants and some rather exotic little places serving African and even Jamaican food!
Day 1 - South CoastThis is a beautiful peaceful Nordic Walk leaving the hustle and bustle of Falmouth to walk along the beautiful creekside taking us past coves and beaches and on to the little village of Mawnan Smith for coffee and some local cakes then back down to the gentle waters of the creek passing Gledurgan and on to the Helford River for lunch
Day 2 - North CoastIf you like Poldark then this is the one for you if not then you'll still be enjoying the dramatic coastline of the North Coast. Starting at Holywell Bay and Gull Rocks we take the South West Coast Path with it's stunning views carved out by the crashing waves. Taking in St Piran's Church and the Oratory that lies on Perran Dunes where Poldark was written we will descend into Perranporth
