Who's our host?
Hello my name is Kelly INWA Nordic Walking Instructor and the owner of Walk Kernow I'd like to welcome you to my stomping ground that is Cornwall. I will be leading you down some of the beautiful paths that we have in this wonderful part of the country. From the gentle South Coast and it's creeks to the dramatic North Coast and it's rugged coast line.....I hope you enjoy your weekend.
Where will we be staying?
You will be staying in the beautiful Land's End Hotel set in a Victorian-era building, this hotel has a dramatic setting with panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean
The bright rooms have en suite bathrooms and traditional decor, and some have ocean views. This is full board accommodation. The hotel also provides Taxi transfers to the start of both Nordic Walks.
Day 1 - Pendeen Watch - Land's End
Starting at Pendeen watch with it's lighthouse. Following the rugged granite South West Coast Path passing the mines of Levant and Botallack made famous by the recent Poldark series. Stopping just after Cape Cornwall to enjoy lunch with a stunning backdrop of the Cape below us. Passing by Gwenver Beach you will be surprised how many wild birds can be spotted from falcons to herring gulls. Stopping at Sennen for a cuppa we prepare for the last couple of miles. Day 2 - Minack - Land's End
"Minack" in Cornish means a rocky place and this is where we will be starting our Nordic Walk on our second day. Taking a quick look at the stunning Porthcurno beach below the Minack where Rowena Cade carried many tonnes of sand up to build the Minack Theatre. Following the path keeping the sea to our left we follow a more gentle path yet no less dramatic back to Land's End.
